Scanning/Archiving

Have you got shoeboxes full of photographs, transparencies, or negatives under your stairs, in the attic, on the top shelf of the wardrobe? Wouldn't you like to have all those memories permanently archived so that the grandchildren can laugh at your fashion choices? I know that my family has lost hundreds upon hundreds of slides, images that I can barely remember now. All those family slides held in fragile Kodak carousels are long gone. Shame.

The options for archiving were next to none twenty years ago. You have no excuses now. Even if technologies change and develop at an exponential rate, there will always be some way of opening a JPEG image.

I have a fabulous Epson scanner, while by no means can compete against a $25k drum scanner, typically used for scanning important works of art and the such like, it does just fine when archiving 4x6 family vacation photographs.

So once your images have been safely transferred from emulsion to zeros and ones, I can burn them onto DVDs, or given how cheap flash-drives are these days, transfer them all to a USB flash-drive for you access at anytime.

Scanning/Archiving: $60 per hour.

What I do:
